28mm SCIFI print

Here is the second of the two fighters

This is a 28mm Spaceship shuttle. It opens up and allows the player to put in figures. The doors even open and close inside. The back end has a ramp that moves up and down.

This is a 1/144 of a T34/85 print I downloaded. I usually use my resin printers for smaller models like this.

Here is the modular 25mm siege tower I modeled and printed. I just had to model and print a trebuchet, too. The modular siege tower allows a player to set up the tower to the height of the wall it is facing.

I designed and printed this castle on a large rock.

This is a test of the model I designed. I saw I have to do some editing on the model to get it to be right. But still, this will get some good use on the table!

I managed to get my hands on a 3d scanner. Playing around with the hardware and software has been an adventure. After some tinkering I scanned in my Polish Winged Hussar that I had sculpted for metal casting many years ago. The scanner worked very well. I had to edit some noise the imaging process churned up that was not a major issue. Converting the imaging into STL. format was simple, too. I printed and painted the figure.

Here is the original, metal figure on the turntable for scanning.

This is the metal original I scanned.

The finished figure. Yes, some details are no longer sharp, comparing the metal one to the resin printed results. I think I need to master capturing the details better when I scan.

I printed a Fokker dr1 in 1/144th scale. I really enjoyed painting this-though, in the future, I will turn to decals for the national markings. I need to print up a lot more planes for a descent, 12 player, game.
